When I click the clicker, my dog definitely knows she gets a treat. I grab the treat from my hand and she eats it, but keeps looking where I got the treat from and she doesnโt pay attention to anything else but the spot I have the treats

When my dog gets confused, she just gives up and lies down and waits for me to give in. ๐ She legitimately just walked away on me.
I don’t have a dog, but I went to the animal shelter to give the dogs and cats some interaction and got permission to play with a puppy they had. He had a bowl of food so I sat there and taught him shake ๐. I didn’t have a clicker or anything, but it was my first time teaching a dog anything so I was so happy!

My mind:he going to need a rabies shot before we do this
I tried this with my dog and ever since he accidentally learned high five itโs all he does so I canโt even attempt to teach him anything else ๐
