    1. I’m gonna do those 4 exercises, I’m taking notes right now to sync it with other family members. I’d like to play with my labrador, but he often goes for some aggressive play lying on his back like you described at 8:25. He doesn’t do it all the time, but only when he’s relaxed after he slept a while and tries to goof around. He licks and gnaws on lots of things. He licks trousers, the radiator, walls, shoes, socks.
I watched the videos with the house line, but he’d probably use it as a chew toy.

    2. McCann Dog Training It’s truly a gift … what people like you have ~~~ one I am very grateful for. I’m old and half crippled so I need to get my puppy trained as quickly as possible and these videos have helped me so much.

  1. I can tell you, from 15 McCann videos, I’ve implemented methods from each of them and got results from each one. Teaching stubborn Jack Russell became quite progressive and fruitful.

    1. I wish I can learn too! I am a non English speaker and I can’t understand correctly and apply. Dog bites has made me very tired and disheartened 😪😪😪

    2. @Sayeda Khaleque Reading that sentence it seems like you’ve established the basics and foundation of the English language. English is my native language and I don’t know any other languages, so if you’ve come this far with English then you have the ability to learn it as well as any native English speaker. Good luck bud.

  2. I am a first time dog owner of a Standard Poodle puppy, now 6 months old. Since we got him, my son and I, in September last year, it’s been very very hard. Today, on the way back from our morning walk, I was crying. Literally. I have both arms bruised, blue/purple. Sevag bites me while we’re walking all the time. It is painful. It is no fun. Sometimes I am able to distract him and he stops, but recently, most of the time, I am not able to and he gets me every time. Today, crying, on the way back, I vowed not to take him on another walk before I find a solution. I came home and got on Youtube. Bumped into this video, watched it and a few others of yours. I am hoping I can do this. I actually did with Sevag what you taught in this video, the “its’ your decision trick” and it brightened my rather gloomy/hopeless day at how he responded in a matter of seconds. He jumps on us all the time, tries to bite us all the time and I don’t know how to stop it. I will keep on watching and learning from your videos. Something I should’ve done a while back. Thank you.

    1. @Cheri Zavada I certainly know how that feels. My rescue pup Finnegan has finally, after 4 months, learned not to bite me 15 times a day. I got him down to 1 or 2 times, and he’s using a much softer bite, more like a nibble. I just refused to give up, and he’s starting to really understand what I’m asking of him.

    2. I hope you’re doing better now, you are stronger than I am, I have had to surrender a dog who was too aggressive, not risking my son getting attack, definitely get some professional training help! Has it gotten any easier?

    3. @just human dogs and especially puppies bite. there aren’t just “biters.” literally every dog bites. it’s what they learn as tiny puppies with their litter mates that that’s how they play. if none of your puppies bit, maybe THEY were the inbred ones

    4. @Cheri Zavada hire a trainer is your best bet but if you can’t, you definitely need a dedicated training time and fenced off training area just for this issue. My gsd puppy did biting too but not as serious as your situation. Training aside, it might just be a phase because he’s growing and that’s not the most comfortable period. The dogs bones, face, jaw, teeth, gums, hormones…..I mean they grow fast and there might be growth pain that’s affecting your dog more than others. When my puppy was just 8 weeks old, I use to feed her by hand from time to time such as hold the food tray for her and grab the food and let her lick it off my hand. I didn’t want her to develop food aggression. May be that was a contributing factor for my dog to understand human is where goodies come from. Even if you can get a few hours with a trainer just to figure out the triggers for your dog’s behaviour, that would be a huge help. If you want to keep yourself safe and develop a health bond, the fastest way is to get experts to help.

  3. I really love and appreciate this video and others! We have an 8 week old lab and this is really helping me with his puppy biting and getting much better respect from him! If only my husband could be this easy to train! 😊

  4. I wish I knew about these videos before hand. My Aussie is 1 year old and still nips/biting me. I know he’s still a puppy, so I’m hopeful we’re still able to correct him. Thank you for your videos!

  5. Wow I love how these videos also show the correct way to discipline the puppy along with the right way to reward him. Great videos guys!!

  6. I just adopted a 7 month old rescue terrier mix. Watching this video has made me realize that I’ve done everything wrong, including belly ribs. He’s been biting me constantly and lunging and biting my face. Now I understand why, and it makes perfect sense. Thank you so much !!! Starting over with my confused pup

  7. Love that there is a non-trainer person doing the exercise too. She’s like me when I’m trying to do the exercise, I often make the same mistake as her.

    1. I completely agree!! When I see trainers do it, it looks so easy, and then I do it and it completely falls apart. It’s a relief to realize it’s not necessarily going to come naturally.

  8. I was almost ready to give up on my puppy’s biting and then chanced upon this video, a complete game changer! I saw a difference as soon as I started practicing these techniques, thank you!

  9. I am from Colombia and my native language is Spanish. I’m thankful that I can understand English and founding this channel, its content is pure gold! The best one I’ve found so far
