How I’m Teaching My Puppy To Stop Biting and Start Listening!

I’ll keep training to resolve puppy biting, focus on training her to “work” for toys. We had an excellent “fetch” training session as well as a productive vet visit too!

    1. Guy a idiot , he don’t realize what he has or he would know that breed a working breed highly active and needs a job herding to be happy and settle down .and the biting will stop but only when the pup gets to be a little older around half year ..reason the dog herds him is because it’s instinctive and has nothing else to herd but him and nipping is how that breed turns and controls the direction ..couple more months he will brag on self for puppy no longer nipping ..mine talk and communicate in thier own way ..highly intelligent breeds , smarter then him to be honest..

    2. Colt 45 First of all, I don’t think you can call anyone an idiot except yourself with that grammar. Plus, just because she is a herding breed doesn’t mean that other breeds don’t nip at you all day! My Pomeranian and toy poodle mix nips at my feet all the time and those breeds have nothing to do with herding. And with the puppy biting, yes, naturally it does stop at around 5-6 months, but that NEVER means that you cannot train a puppy to stop biting much earlier. Why endure 6 months of nipping when you could just lessen it or completely get rid of it at 3-4 months! Honestly it is easy to see you are an immature child trying to seek attention.

  2. I know this has nothing do with dogs but Zack I not only look forward to your dog training but I always look forward to your sick shoe game. lol you always have on a great pair of kicks I love it! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

  3. My pup never bit. He tried the second I got him, I said no and gave him a toy. Never bit or nibbled again. 🤷‍♀️ Got very lucky because he wasn’t a biter, a chewer, picked up potty training super fast. His last accident was when he was 3 months, hes 18 months now. Hes a super good boy. ❤

    1. I have a indie rescue pup. Now 2 months. Goes potty only on pads. But he is trained to wait for food, sit, down. Biting has reduced greatly. But refuses to go out…what to do?

    2. Thanks to Zaks training we had three 4 min training with two rescues and they stoped peeing and pooping in the house after a week and a half. Now the one brother we kept never goes in the house and rings the bell to go outside 💖

    3. Not biting puppy is not a good thing they
Bite and chew to adjust their bite force and lear how hard they can bite certain thing so you dont have unpredictable adult dog that could bite you badly

  4. I’m so happy we got a puppy around the same time. These videos have been helping me so much along the way! Cause everything you’re dealing with I’m dealing with too lol.
    So thank you!

  5. Oh my gosh. Puppy biting was the worst with my girl Luna! Listen, I did my research and I would put the tips like “exchange your hand for chew toys”, “provide lots of chewable toys”, “say ouch!”, “a stern no”, “cease the interaction” all in place and I regularly looked like I had lost a fight with some mountain lion. It was bad. Bruises, blood and wounds were apart of my day. What made it worse was when the vet said “She’s got sharper than usual teeth” ….fabulous. BUT good news! I gradually physically felt her bite control improve and at 15 months my sharp-tooth Amstaff X Kelpie fur baby finally and completely got it. She’s so gentle with her mouth. You can stick your hands in there and because she looks like a little tough nut people are always so amazed at how gentle she is. She nibbles so softly on your toes to the point it feels like somebody tickling you. Yes, she took a lot longer than normal to understand bite control but the persistence and hard work paid off! 😁🐕👏

  6. I love seeing the unfinished training of the puppy. It helps me realize I’m not completely failing. Mine acts this way too, working on stopping the biting as well. You’re channel is helping a lot. Thank you

  7. I love how Inertia slowly evolved from a goofy puppy to a sophisticated little lady. You can see her personality slowly change. It’s so cute ❤️

  8. I’m having just as hard a time training my family to anticipate biting situations and avoid them, as I am training the puppy to only bite acceptable things. They’re all so stubborn! 😑

  9. I love how natural you are and the way you address us isn’t demeaning. You aren’t one of those pretentious ‘dog whispering’ types, who seem so self impressed. Your honesty and clarity are incredibly helpful! Thank you 🙏🏽
