    1. Thing is I have a Jack Russell/Patterdale cross who’s super laid back and chilled out. The exact opposite of what’s typical of both breeds. He doesn’t chase small furies, doesn’t dig and isn’t at all stubborn. He’s a freak !

    2. It’s a good idea to always take into account the dog’s natural personality and not just the purpose and characteristics the dog was bred for. That way, you will be able to have the dog fit into your lifestyle and you will set you and your dog up for success and have a lovely life together ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Rob Pinsent Lmao I feel bad I never saw any of them. Heโ€™s doing good though heโ€™s still healthy and well. I used these videos to teach him all the tricks he knows and they did end up being a huge help

  1. I really don’t know how you do it Zak! I was searching your channel for a “how to pick the right puppy” video and didn’t find one and then you just upload one! Thanks Zak! Love your videos(#1 Dog trainer in my opinion)

  2. I got a puppy a few weeks ago and his previous owner threw him out the car window in the highway and the dog was 3 weeks old. Thank god he is alive i love him sooo much. He is now almost 4 months old.

    1. My dog was living in a porta potty even though all of her sisters and brothers had a proper place with toys and blankets and their mom. She was also beaten when She was only a few weeks old. She is absolutely TERRIFIED of men in caps even though it has been 6 years since we rescued her from that abuser.

  3. my tiny dog protected me against two big dogs who were running at us. she was as scared as I was but she chased them off anyway. I love her so much.

  4. Well…..I already found mine. when I was 13, i got my first dog I later named *Jack*. He was the best dog I had ever seen and we stayed together for 15 years. As the years pass by, Jack helped me with my emotional crisis being my Only friend…..I was given an interview for joining the battle against Isis, I wasn’t a single bit exited knowing that I’ll have to leave behind Jack for a couple of years. I accepted the offer.

The war zone was tough, I had to drink out of an abandoned house in the ruins just to survived, each day as i get ready to move out, i always bring with me a picture of me and jack when i was 14 thinking that I might *Die* any moment from either a grenade or gun shot wound but i soon knew that I wasn’t the one dying that day. I’d became friends with a Vet that took care of jack when I was deployed into combat and he sent me a grave chilling message

“I have some bad news….Jack is dying” I was still at the camp when I got the message and i still had a chance to leave, I lied to my commander that my wife was pregnant at the time (I had no wife) i had to persuade him even went as far as pointing a gun at him begging for him to take me back home…I was kicked out of the military. the flight took days and as each second goes, a little part of me dies knowing that jack might be Dead but as i arrived God gave me one last chance to wish him goodbye.

i never cried so hard in my life holding him in my hands as each second pass, his old fragile hair starts to fall out as each tear drop sinks into his skin but that time, I already knew what would happen. years after his death, i started to lose my mind while i remembered getting into a heated argument with my friend (The Vet that took care of jack) i’v lost everything at that point.

here I am watching dog videos and making this comment just to envy myself.

I know you’ll be waiting for me in heaven jack, and i will be coming with you soon

    1. god i hve been thru this…lost my beloved rabbit thumper few days ago. And i miss him so much.I feel sorry for every pet owner going thru this…RIP thumper

    1. Same, when Iโ€™ll win lot of money and live in my place, i want a Shiba Inu, but they are very expensive. Also, my dad is allergic so…but yeah I understand you

    2. hello to everyone from 3 years ago seeing my comment LMAO i still have no husky so i might just steal the one from my neighbor down the street ๐Ÿ™„โ˜๏ธ

    1. @Alexia Vargas i love mutts we call it aspin(asong pinoy) here in the Philippines. ๐Ÿ’“ they’re so healthy and easy to train.

    2. @Carl John Orcine But still, if they’re sick, they need to go to the vet. Hindi dahil walang lahi, hahayaan na lang na magkasakit. Tho, Aspin are much healthier and active than other dogs.

  5. โ€œPay attention to their energy levelโ€

*Me meeting and buying a month old yorkie pup who can barely run because heโ€™s too small, but also having to wait till heโ€™s 2 months old to take him home*

  6. when choosing a dog, you as a owner should know his energy level, his personality.
When you get a dog you should consider that you have same energy levels or else. haha
