  1. lol “that was a GREAT example!”
… all the dogs he uses are great examples. I’d really like to see him show us a bad one 😂 now that would help me out.

    1. SweetOrange I know this is two years late, but “discipline” isn’t a good thing. Scolding, sure. Actual punishments? No way. Dogs don’t get what “punishment” or “discipline” are supposed to mean. Positive reenforcement is your friend when training dogs.

    2. Labs can be the hardest, being a very high energy alert dog, a hunter type. I have an older lab cross. She is very independent. Likes to design her own walks. I taught her to stay while I pick up her poo, tho’ 😁😊.

  2. I really appreciate how encouragi ng Zak is, and how he makes you feel like training is less daunting than you originally felt. He even says it’s not easy, but his attitude definitely makes the viewer feel like it’s possible!

  3. Lol, my husky looks at me like I have a horn growing out of my forehead when I try to do this. She is four months old, and got sit and down. I’ll take that as a win

    1. Bro my dog ks mixed breed stubborn as fetch and im actually training him. All it takes is patience, just make sure he likes the treats

  4. I swear, that dog talks to his other dog friends, saying “Watch this. I can make this guy run around the whole yard and give ME treats!” Lol but this is awesome.

    1. My puppy stays, but then she scoots back a step and then sits and stays. She’ll back up maybe twice. So I can tell she’s trying but unsure why she backs away??

    1. I’m not an expert but… Consider playing fetch with her/him or any other exercises to release her energy… Then when she calls down .. you can proceed to train her…. Hope it helps…

    2. I agree with the first response. It’s easier for us to train our puppy once she’s exercised as she calms down considerably. If we try and train her before exercise she doesn’t focus well.

    1. First make sure he can obey the sit command very well. Then just keep trying. Remember, these dogs are probably pre-trained. I’m teaching my pup to sit for 3 weeks now and we make slow progress. Just teach ur dog everyday for around 10 minutes per session so it remains fun to do for your dog.

    2. @taykfanp Why is it taking 3 weeks to teach your dog to sit when it was doing it before you brought it home & does it everyday. You just need to put it on cue/command by marking & rewarding.
