  1. She is doing wonderful! As a dog trainer, myself, I thank you and appreciate all of your uploads. I use a lot of your ideas and methods in my classes. Thank you for all your help!!🐕🐕🐕🐕

  2. I trained my puppy in baths less treat wise, I kept him in the washroom as I ran the water, when he got curious he got attention then when the water was at the height I wanted I picked him up ( he was only 9 weeks so was very light ) and let his feet dangle in the water and it took 5-10 mins and he calmed down then I put him in, and got lots of pets when he was calm. He loves baths now and jumps in on his own even before the water is in the tube. He even plays with the water as it runs out of the tap XD

  3. We’ve adopted a 2yr old dog and just when I’m about to give up on everything I come here to your channel to remind myself things may work out 😖

    1. @Alexandra H The channel trailer of Upstate Canine Academy is him provoking a dog that’s uncomfortable into growling and trying to bark for what I assume more clicks. Why are we recommending dog “trainers” who “train” by treating dogs like garbage?

    2. @Alexandra H The front video that you see on the home page is what I’d consider the trailer as it introduces you to the channel.

“Tom provoke a dog for views. Ive seen him ask the owners to show him how reactive the dog can be to certain things”

….So provoke the dog for the viewers.
Why would he need to see this? The owner can simply say if you do x he bites/growls/etc.

“and ive seen him test where the dog would bark or act crazy, so he can see why the dog is doing it (i.e. fear, real aggression, anxiety), and so he can also see where the dog’s tolerance towards things are.”

the body language of a dog tells you this, you don’t need to “test” them.

“Ive never seen him cause more stress to the dog other than to evaluate a dog so he can help it. ”

      https://youtu.be/FswX6ChSbnk

How is this not causing more stress then necessary? the dog is clearly uncomfortable with these people and instead of trying to bond first they jump straight into stressing it out.

“Tom isnt dealing with new, well bred puppies. ”

Why is this relevant? Unless the dog has a mental problem this is irrelevant.

“I think Tom’s training is fair and balanced”

Yea abuse, did I say something different?
      http://dogscouts.org/base/tonto-site/uploads/2014/10/620_art_training_methods.pdf

“he does an excellent job at knowing when to push a dog slightly and when it will be too overwhelming for the dog.’

LITERALLY has thousands of videos of dogs snapping because he went to far HELLO?

“Zak George is great for certain dogs, mostly puppies of certain temperaments. Zak’s methods CAN be what some dogs solely need, but his methods WILL NOT work on all dogs. ESPECIALLY those with severe anxiety or aggression problems.

      This is unscientific and untrue.

“Lol bet you’re also against putting a screaming toddler in the corner, pansy. Lol you see normal reactions and fair humane corrections as “abuse””

So my suspicions that you are anti science is growing even more. It’s pretty pansy of me to not want to hurt a child though you’re right about that. Hey when your spouse gets out of line do you give them a good smack too?

    3. @Alexandra H Also just to further dig into this moronic claim that you can’t teach “aggressive” dogs using positive reinforcement

      https://youtu.be/MkWXVwP7x7w
Funny enough this dog starts barking and lunging unprovoked unlike the video the channel trailer of your “Trainer” and yet the behavior was corrected without abusing the dog.

  4. I love that you are getting her used to grooming her yourself. I groom my dog and I find it is a great way to build trust and bond. I’m loving the series.

  5. Inertia is very cute. And your videos are useful and fun without fail. I don’t have a dog, but I’m applying your principles to train myself to take small easyy steps towards my own goals 🙂

Love the new series. Keep up all your good work Zach!

    1. OML. Im preparing for a dog i get in 1 year! Lol ive already waited 1 year all i have to do is wait another year, im getting a German Shepherd.wby??

  6. Zak, the only other thing I did to help with the bathing was to buy an inexpensive rubber bath mat to stand on which gives my pup more stability while she’s standing in the wet tub. Before the mat her feet kept sliding around and she wanted out, but now stable footing, no problems…

    1. Thank you. This is an incredibly useful tip for those of us- like me- who have not had to tackle the bathing ritual yet. Ours is a three year old adopted lurcher- with a sweet disposition, classic prey drive, and love for all people and other dogs. He’s a beauty with a long coat , super soft and colored like a tortoiseshell fox. Thing is, he’s never been bathed before .Shocking ,but, hey!

  7. This man is so gentle and kind. Difficult to imagine he won’t have the most brilliant, self- actualized and happy dog. Doesn’t hurt that he has the most- potentially- clever, bright and happy pupper breed. He really understands the need to allow dogs to learn without pressure and loads of encouragement. Thank you for your videos, you have me hooked and I haven’t received a single treat. Lol!

  8. We are getting a new puppy soon, so I have been reading your book and my 8-year-old daughter and I have been watching your videos in preparation! She commented on how relaxed and calm you are with Inertia, that you speak quietly and take things very slowly. We’re learning so much, thank you Zac! Greetings from us in The Netherlands.

    1. NXKDXR yes I’m over the moon with getting a pup, and as you say especially with what’s happening in the world right now… and yes I’m on Instagram, could I know your username? <3

    2. @fi_isme im nikki_noos_cooks I only post pictures of food on there but I’m more than happy to spam your inbox with cute puppy pictures of Cody haha!
