  1. I loved this. It reminded me (not that I need reminding) of why I adore puppies…so crazy! This was a fine example and explanation, Zak,of the first more important stuff to share with your your puppy. Sharing now…

  2. It took my beagle mix rescue almost a full year to become comfortable in my house. She was extremely shy and skittish. Even coughing would send her into her crate shaking in fear (made sure the crate was her safe place to go to). Now almost 4 years after rescuing her you’d never know how shy and skittish she was!!! She’s now a therapy dog!! I couldn’t be prouder 🙂

  3. @Zak George’s Dog Training rEvolution  You have changed the lives of people and dogs forever. You have made the world a far kinder and gentler place. Thank you for promoting the NAP in all of its ways. Thank you for being one of the few true hero’s of this world. Since learning about you I have began my journey into becoming a professional dog trainer. First by beginning with empathy training. I think it’s truly a hard and sometimes impossible thing to teach, but you are an amazing teacher Zak. And I would love to PM you if that is at all possible. Thank you for taking the time to read my comment. It means the world to me that there are other people willing to go against the grain, just because its the right thing to do. Have a great one, and I hope to hear from you soon!

    1. @Benjamin Strauber  that’s really nice of you to say Benjamin. I’m glad to see that you will also be teaching dogs with love and kindness.

    2. you are the main source of motivation that got me started, and @Zak George’s Dog Training rEvolution  you continue to be one of the greatest forces for good in this world. I would love to email you or ask direct questions about dog training. if that’s okay with you

  4. With reference to the pitbulls suffering from pitbull phobia, so do their people. I had a cane corso/American bulldog mix, who people thought was a pitbull. We were together four years. I am 66 years old, and have had dogs for 61 years.

No other dog in my life bonded so lovingly with me from the day we rescued him, and I reciprocated. A month ago, my co-op community made me “dispose” of him. They have me ten days.

I have been so broken up by this that I have had to go on cardiac and psychological therapy and medication.

    We all suffer from ignorance.

    1. +Steve Brettell I sure hope you didnt “dispoe” of him. im hoping you found him a home or found yourself a better more open minded place to live

    2. Too broke to move; he is with loving folks and doing well. I’ve seen videos and pics of him.
The saddest part is that everyone I run into talks about him. How great a dog he is, and how wrong it was for the board to take him away. This includes animal control and the town police. Why were none of them allowed to testify at the closed board hearing about this?

    3. +Steve Brettell This is so sad Steve. It was very unfair. I wish there were someone there that could help you fight to get him back. My heart hurts for you having to give up your baby. I hope you are able to cope without it effecting your health too much. But I can certainly understand why it would. I’m glad to hear he is doing well and you still get to see videos of him. I hope you can visit him although I know it will be hard to leave him each time. God bless you.

  5. Can you do a video on how to stop your dog from getting distracted. Whenever my puppy sees someone on the street, he gets distracted, and because we live in thecity it often takes him awhile to do his business.

    1. +zoeee z 🙂 I have many videos on distraction training. just get familiar with the videos I have up:) It’s great to have you here!

    3. +zoeee z i leash mine to a pole in the yard (pending a contractor to build the fence) and give him 30 minutes of patience and he does he bizz and then back in the house. i’m still going to ship him off to obedience school

    4. +Zoe Alyse Z interesting points ,if anyone else wants to learn about puppy training methods try Debuncar Perfect Dog Aid ( search on google ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my partner got cool success with it.

  6. We rescued our Chihuahua Mix a week ago. Harley has been in 5 different homes before he found a “forever home”. I’ve had some amazing dogs in my life and I have to say that it isn’t the dog but really how much I was willing to learn about dogs. Our new guy is proving to be teachable and we are learning to be patient with his progress and mistakes.

  7. It’s so sad that people think pitbulls are mean dogs. They really are just big sweethearts if you take care of them right. Our dog we think is a pitbull and we found her abandoned in a field. We took her in, and she became one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever seen.

  8. I recently got a puppy and immediately looked you up and watched. I am teaching her look at me, sit, lay, and roll over. She is doing so well with your method. Thank you so much!

    1. Hey Zak! We adopted that little dude around 3 years ago!! After this video, he was sent to a prison to be trained by an inmate. Got adopted but 4 years later was re-surrendered. Then we nabbed him up. If you’re ever in the area, feel free to come say hi!

  9. This is now my dog! He was adopted and then Re-surrendered to the same animal shelter, where my boyfriend and I adopted him in April of this year (2017). He is doing wonderfully and has a happy life if anyone is interested in knowing.
