  1. Loved this!! As a platform subscriber it was nice to see yet another example of the concepts being applied as reinforcement for me, but specifically correcting behavior on the walk before it escalated (when the ears came forward), and to see how much of a change it actually made in his demeanor.

  2. I have a german shepherd and these tips seem like they will help him walk smoothly and I can communicate to him with the leash and/or ecollar. I loved the idea of “popping” the leash/collar and applying pressure when he needs a correction. I also now know why his ears pop up and now I can help him come back to focus!

    1. What behaviors in the crate??…start hand feeding in the crate every meal…if its quiet/laying down feed some food…close the door but dont latch it for 1 second…mark it “yes/good”…open and feed….close door for 5 seconds….if good, yes and feed…..teach the dog yes/no. Work upp the time….then go out of sight for 1 second, yes, come back, open and feed……then open your front door for 1 second, close it (stay inside for now), work your way up……if barks/whines……SAY NO and nothing else…once quiet for 3 seconds, open door, yes, make a HUGE deal about it, open crate, feed and play like hell……be patient! It will learn….do not look or talk to dog until calm!!

  3. I just wanna say, u r a great trainer! I’ve been training dogs for around 17 years. I got into training dogs in Schutzhund/ IPO, when I was 15 yrs old. I just turned 33. I now focus more on training for ring sports, Protection, and service dogs. It has mostly been a personal hobby and passion of mine, until the last few years, when I started doing it professionally. Anyway, I’m telling you all this, because I have learned mostly from trainers like Michael Ellis, forrest Micke and other trainers from Leerburg! Ive also learned a lot in recent years on behavioral modification and other things, from Tom Davis and Larry Krohn. I came across one of your videos a few months ago and I’ll b honest, I completely mis judged you and I don’t really know why. Maybe just cause u look so young, which has absolutely no bearing on dog training methods and skills. But everyone of your videos, I either learn something new or just completely agree with your training methods. After doing it for this many years and making several mistakes a long the way and learning from those mistakes, I use almost all the same methods. However, this video is the best I’ve seen in years. I don’t say that cause I learned something new in regards of training dogs, what I learned from this video, is something I have the most trouble with, which is ‘training’ the owner sort a speak, which I don’t mean in a disrespectful way towards pet owners. I have no problems teaching dogs anything I wish to teach them. But the biggest challenge I’ve faced since doing it professionally, is explaining to the owner, what to do to maintain and use the training, when they take their dogs home! A lot of, or even most pet owners I’ve worked with, are under the impression, that I can take there dog and train it and thats it. They think the dog will just listen and follow every command given for the rest of there life and thats it. I think every trainer knows, it is just as much, about teaching the owner, as it is training the dog. Just cause I can teach the dog to listen to every command I give, does not mean, the dog will obey, everything the owner says, if they don’t know how to communicate, with the dog and maintain the training. So the way you explain it to the owner, in this video, is amazing, because of how you make it so simple for them to understand! It gets difficult sometimes, to explain it all or communicate, all the stuff that is needed to b done, by the owner, in a way that is simple and easy for them to understand. It is sometimes very difficult, I think for all trainers, to teach them, stuff that took me 17 years to learn! Anyway, sorry this is so long. I hope u read it. Thank you again for making this video and sharing with us a very simple way to explain what has to b done by owner!

  4. Just watched a couple of your videos. Must say, theyre great and very informative. Keep it up! YouTube needs to recommend this more often to people lol.

  5. Very good tips on your 🐶 channel 👍🏻 i made some dog vlogs with our new coton de Tulearè puppy 🤗 best cinematic greetings from germany #filmmakingismypassion

  6. I love your videos! This explains e-collar and and prong collar better than any other video I’ve seen.

I’m preparing to bring a GSD puppy home in a few months (obvi leash corrections when she’s ready, then maybe introducing these when she’s ready). I’ll be paying for your online training membership before my pup comes home. ❤️

  7. I liked your mention of a dog’s free will and that you coach that. Those are the two hallmarks of my Siberian Husky training ideas. You don’t hear those words usually. People misunderstand the idea so I like that I’ve heard that from you. I also am really enjoying learning the correct behavior modification language. I’ve never been really articulate there. Love all your moves and have learned a more definite idea of what I’ve just kind of done intuitively. (Although I have a basic understanding of learning theory). Much respect.
