  1. Your dog barks because he thinks you’re weak. And because he thinks you, the owner, are weak… he barks to alert you of any minor detail that could possibly be a danger. Because you the owner who feeds him needs to know about all the dangers so the dog can live a safe life and be fed again. It’s ultimately insecurity. The best way to stop it is to show your dog you are a big powerful person, and that there is nothing to be scared of. You should not beat your dog. But you will have to empathize with your dog and calm them down and then demonstrate both of you are safe in situations the dog previously perceived as dangerous.

  2. Help!
What do you do if an off-leash dog comes running up to Inertia?

How do you assess whether or not that dog is friendly or not and if it isn’t, how do you react?

I want to travel everywhere with my dog, but sadly we were attacked by an off-leash dog on our hike one day, luckily I could pick my dog up- so she was safe but if she were bigger.. I don’t know what I would’ve done.

It’s deterred me from going outside the city with her again despite nature being where I spend most my time.
