    1. Hey zac i have a question. So we just recently got two puppies and they love to play but sometimes it sounds like its escalatong and sometimes one wont let go of the other when they bite

    2. I have an 11 week old rat terrier I take him outside and let him run and play for 25 to 30 min when I let him back in he will go poop or pee. What am I doing wrong?

  1. We just got a puppy. Your videos definitely help! But sometimes I wish you could just come here and help in those times I’m not sure what to do! Or when I get frustrated. She’s got razor sharp little goblin teeth! πŸ™‚

    1. The early puppy stage almost destroyed me. I got my Staffy x Kelpie at 13 weeks and for months I was covered in wounds, scabs, bruises. My legs, arms and hands looked terrible but the good news is that she’s now 5.5 months and I’ve literally watched her mouth bleed, teeth fall out and those sharp weapons called puppy teeth turn nice and smooth. My skin is looking much better. I just stayed the course with treats, offering toys, teaching commands asap, turning my back to her, time out, moving away from her, ice cubes, frozen fruit, yelping, teaching the word “gentle” when hand feeding her treats. NOTHING feels like it’s working in the moment but somehow we’ve gotten through most of it (she’s still teething but it’s nowhere near as severe). I feel like she’s a better behaved dog because of all those teachable moments whilst she was in the worst of her teething …it’s what I tell myself anyway. 😫😰

    2. @SR1Records Yeah, that doesn’t work for all dogs, especially ones like the pretty chocolate lab in the video. I have my 10 week old version of that and it is her to a T. Some dogs/breeds are higher energy or more aggressive chewers. I can literally sit holding her toy and she’ll get all excited, but bite my arm or hand instead. If you scream ow in a high pitched voice, she’ll just get the zoomies and attack more. Like I said it’s all in the dog or breed.

    3. Oh god! I’m so glad to know I’m not the only one with bruised and bleeding hand and feet. Hope he gets out of the habit soon or i am able to train him not to bite me so hard.

    4. I just got my second pup.. My first pup didnt use his teeth ever. I took me months to get him to even bite into a toy. My second pup is full on attack mode as soon as my hand goes to him ^^ but we are on a good way. What helped me with a lot pups is balling your hand, it gets boring for them really fast then.

    5. @Epic Me what do you do when she gets the zoomies? My puppy is the same way but nothing seems to help. When I try to stop him from biting it’s likes like β€œoh yeah, try to stop me little lady you haven’t seen anything yet”! I’m going crazy. The worst is he won’t stop biting my 8 yr old.

  2. My puppy lab is so energetic that when I will go to train him to sit and lay down with a treat he jumps on me and barks he does not stay still

    1. I know this is waaaay later and you more than likely figured this out but im just gonna put this for other people if they have the same problem; before you try to train your dog have them run around and play so they can drain out their energy then you can train them alil more bearable.

  3. My dog is able to do so much from “Sit” to being off leash, he just turned 1 and he is so well trained and it’s all because of you, you helped me train him so much, just… THANK YOU SO MUCH 😊

  4. “I just wanna body slam him…out of love” πŸ˜†
My puppy is going through a lot of biting and can be vicious and extremely persistent so I understand

    1. Omg me too! My puppy will be 11 weeks on Sunday and we have battle wounds. High energy and we get that energy out of her in hopes she’ll be calm. But then she becomes vicious and persistent. She loves doing her commands though. But I feel like stuffing her with treats isn’t always the solution. I use freeze dried sweet potatoes.

    2. @Dianne Dee Dee Dearth tell me how. I’m at my wits end he’s so rough. My 8 yr old can hardly get near him because as soon as he’s there the pup attacks him. I’m thinking of re-homing him but I really don’t want to.

  5. I’d like to see more “raw” footage of Zak struggling with the dog. I like that you focus on the results, but a lot of people are more concerned with the many variable ways the methods DONT work and how to follow through with them after it fails to work. Like during the many scenes where the dog isnt paying attention the scene cuts to when the dog finally does. I’d like to see the intermediate part where Zak had to struggle a bit.
my german shepherd puppy is biting harder cause he doesnt know how to calibrate his bite force, and when he gets a hold of my arm he friggin THRASHES it around like he does his toys and that hurts even more! He bruised the tendon on my hand between the thumb and index finger cause he thrashed it. Doctor said that could literally mess my hand up for life if it ever got worse.

    1. I totally agree! He shouldn’t cut that part out of the video the reason he’s making them is to teach us how to teach our dogs! I need to see what to do when my pup just won’t stop even after I do so his tips.

  6. My dog is 6 months old and it’s so hard to train her she thinks people are chew toys. And shes so strong that sometimes it hurts and I know she doesn’t know that shes hurting people but I just don’t know what to do.

  7. I just got a puppy and like all the puppies I’ve seen are so super hyper but all my puppy does is sleep πŸ˜‚ like I mean I’m chill with him but its so hard to train him when he just wants to sleep lol

    1. @livelongvintage he has gradually improved his behaviour. The bitey stuff stops mostly at about five months, however, he then moved on to taking butter, cartons of eggs etc from the kitchen bench (exploiting his height). He has started going to an off-leash park once a day and that has coincided with a dramatically calmed down boy. No matter what, he continues to be worth the effort.
