  1. How else can you teach a dog a perfect recall. Any other tips as well on barking, separation anxiety and begging for food. I got a 9 month old cockapoo.

    1. Keep a leash on them and don’t let them participate in the behavior! You can find a lot of great information in my training community free at dogpro.io

    2. Can you start using a E collar on a puppy thats 3-4 months old ? and should it be use for basic obedience training or just for recall etc ? Keep your videos coming. I love them, as they are very educational ❤👍

    3. @Xavier Lacosa I am no professional but I started using an Ecollar around 7-8 months. Honestly I would just watch what level you put it on. Hope this helps!

  2. Hello can I still tie my dogs bandana over the collar ?

Also, I’ve heard that the opposite is better with saying “come” first and then pressing the button? Bc I guess you want your dog to respect voice first and assume the voice is what causes the vibration.

Or is it all just preference ? Haha

  3. So I have been working with my husky who is 2 years old with recall on a leash and e collar. For about 3 weeks She responds well and comes everytime w no distractions. But today when we were ready to leave she ran for the exit and tried to find the car which happens to be in the road so I had to zap her on a moderate level to get her to come back after she ignored. Do I need to go back to square 1 with no distractions?

  4. What ive heard is that you start pressing it right before you call them. Utilizing escape training. When you press it afterwards, then they start to have a negative connotation to their name being called. If you start before, they are happy to come because thats how they can turn off the stimulation.

  5. e collars are known to cause behavioral issues down the road including a more stressed dog. Positive enforcement and trust built over time is the only tried and true off leash training.

  6. “Regardless of me or you understanding the behavior, just no..” Yikes 😬 Imagine not caring about why your dog does something so you can properly prevent or reinforce that and just telling them “no” for being a dog. I feel like it’s our responsibility to try to understand and work with our dogs, not treat them like mindless robots???
