You want to be able to take your dog on a peaceful walk, but you know if you encounter another dog or person that your dog is going to go crazy and start barking! Embarrassing? Don't sweat it! This is normal for many dogs! BUT I'll show you how to teach them to behave acceptably in this situation! Hope it helps!

  5. my dog loves other dogs, and she barks at dogs she can’t say hello to. She is a big dog and she’s really strong! so it’s very difficult to pull her back and making her focus on me

  6. My dog max barks when he sees someone walking outside, every single item there’s someone at the door (even if he knows it’s one of us). He even barks for 20 seconds after we come in the doors

  7. great video I had this happen to me today I took my 6 month old husky to the vet and he went crazy barking at every dog the vet instructed me about videos on YouTube to help teach my dog to act this way thank you for the help I’ll be searching for more videos God bless

  9. Our dog barks when he sees a person or another animal that isn’t my mum, dad my siblings and me. He also barks when he hears the door bell ring. Whenever ppl come to our house they think he’s very aggressive and complain about him when he really just wants to play.

  11. My dog goes nuts when we meet other dogs in our path. He just want to play but gets so anxious to go to the other dog that he eventually barks, pulls the leash, etc. How can I stop him from doing so?

My dogs wanna fight the other dogs or hurt them lol I really get frustrated and embarrassed when they do that they did it today while I was walking to my hotel another dog was walking out of the hotel and they started barking and growling and I know not everyone takes dogs barking as a funny action so I try to calm them down without getting mad

    3. @Sharamuto i have the same problem with german shepard. he is the sweetest most gentle giant. but when out walking and we see a dog. there is no way to gain control he is crazy. barking and pulls so i should try letting him go? i am afraid he will bite the other dog

    4. @AJ Barth my GSD puppy start barking too from 4 month old, now she is 7.5 month old. Everytime when I correct her bad behaviors there are always some people come and judge me without giving any effective method.

    5. @Sharamuto Treat is never working for my German Shepherd puppy in this situation even I didn’t give her any food for two days. Finally I choose prong collar, distract her before she bark. When she looks at me I said good girl then give her lots of treats. Now she is 7.5 month old, she only bark if the other dog is too close.

  12. I have 2 Dachshunds that not only bark but they start to yelp and cry when strangers walk by. It’s really embarrassing because they’re screaming like their being hurt yet they’ve never been abused ever.

  13. My dog is reactive to strangers only when we are at home but he is VERY reactive to other dogs, to a point where when I bring him to stores/vet clinics, I call ahead to make sure there are no other animals around lol

  14. i recently adopted a dog who has never really been with other dogs and when we go on walks he goes crazy and it so embarrassing lmao

    1. @Tegan Davis same my new dogs her previous owner never took her outside at all until the day she just dumped her at our house. but she would take care of her other dog only. Kinda messed up. And now my dog barks at any adult but loves children and other dogs.

    1. Same, my family adopted a yorkie (we found her in the streets) and at first she was very calm with others however she started to bark at other dogs and jump at them, I would just carry her around other dogs but she still try to jump off my arms

    3. Same here but my vet looks at my puppy as if he’s the most horrendous thing when he gets overly excited to see her. Idk why and she tells me he has a problem and I’m like wtf he’s still a a baby. Anyways expert advice apparently.

  18. I literally cried today because my dog barked at every single dog at the park today. I guess I was so frustrated because I’ve been training my dog for the last week and I was hoping his behavior would get better and not worse 🙃

    4. @Waccular spectacular Yes! Maximus has a lot of energy, so before we go to the park we play fetch for 5-10 minutes. At the park, we try our best to avoid coming across other dogs, so if we see an oncoming dog, we quickly change directions. Even then you can only control your environment so much, so if there’s is no way to avoid it, I usually bring out carrots and his favorite squeaky ball to grab his attention. He doesn’t bark as much, but he still wants to get closer. All in all, he has gotten a lot better, honestly working him out before the park has been key for my dog.

    5. @Tamara omg I was thinking the same when I take my dogs out on walk right after their nap, they always pull on the leash and becomes overstimules to the surrounding

  19. My dog barks and lunges aggressively at everything that passes us, including children. And it isn’t just a barking, it is a snarling, growling aggressiveness and lunging like he wants to attack. I have had to use a muzzle for right now.
