Zeus is one wild German Shepherd! This is Zeus’ first training session where he will introduced to the concept of walking WITHOUT Pulling, Making matters more challenging we’ll do it without exercising him first. Naturally, I’ll show you how to teach this without having to use any special collars. Lots of you love seeing how to work with dogs in a real world setting when cats, dogs, people and EVERYTHING else seem to distract your dog and keep them from learning.
ahh, I don’t even know what i would do without petflow.
Great work! The best tutorials are ones like these where you see THE REAL DEAL. Real dogs, not pre trained dogs.. showing mistakes rather than cutting them out and only showing the good only makes it harder for people to learn. Great job Zak..
very helpful, i think the only thing you should have added at the end is that when you attempt the exact same thing tomorrow it will be as if they have never even attempted that style of training before haha, so much patience required
I having a husky who always likes to be in front I know this is what they were bred for but just for once I would like a relaxed walk.
5:40 tongue out.. cutest scene hahaha
3:14 the dramatic cat had me lmaoing
Lmaoo
Lol 😂
I’d be interested in seeing one of Zak’s dogs. I would really like to see how a Zak George trained dog acts with other dogs and people.
Wow, you’re a great instructor for the owners and dogs.
+Maxena Megalabrainiac Thank you!
thanks so much for this help. I need it so much for my pulling beagle
Love this! Thanks for not advocating pain to train a dog!
Redirecting is awesome. Most people think redirecting doesn’t work but you proved it does! 🙂
Maya Rego yea sure it worked… if you’re fine with bouncing around in front of your dog on a walk instead of actually just walking your dog. This guy is a joke
“If you have a dog under 7 months old you want to subscribe RIGHT NOW” and I immediately subscribed. Good job
Wow…
I’ve been really sad after snowie passed away…and I’ve been watching lot of Dog and Pup Videos… but your videos have been really inspiring and convinced me to get a new member in the family.
Thanks Zak… Keep up the great work.
My dog walks perfect on the leash. My dad trained her as she’s a family dog and we got her when I was younger. She’s a golden retriever and I believe my dad did it my just walking her on a short leash and just telling her to heel over and over again when she was pulling ahead. He would say heel with a decent tug to get her to stop running ahead and eventually she responded to heel and now walks right beside me and stops whenever I stop. When she’s not on the leash she runs ahead with is perfectly fine but whenever I say heel she comes right back and walks behind me without a leash. Don’t know what else my dad did to train her but it worked!
my big dog border collie x kelpie walks on a leash amazingly well
he will walk with or without the leash beside you. All i did with him was walk and when he pulled i stopped then wait until he was calm before we begin walking again, i never pulled back on him, i would simply stop then continue when his calm and focus on me with that alone i managed to have him walking beside me nice and calm which led him to stop pulling
Cyn mine is the same and sometimes she will just sit or lie down. Our walks are push, pull and drag.
Wayne Beck lol, same. my chihuahua is SOO unmotivated. All she wants to do is lay down
Yea well my dog walks with the leash in her mouth so WE WIN!! lol 😉
Thanks
thats what i do too but it takes a super lot of patience with a new puppy. you have to think of it as training sessions and not ‘trying to go for a walk’
no my dog sniffs everything ._. like everything it’s like we don’t walk we just go for a sniff session no drugs are attended Ahaha
Mine is the same I end up dragging her for most of the walk.
That means They are searching for partners , they smell the poo poo n pee pee of other dogs and pee over it to put a mark to let know that i am here available , and some times to let other dogs that thats their area dont come here, it sounds funny bt thats it i guess. And I’m 2yrs late to reply this comment 🤷♀️

When dog’s do that it means your dog is seeking out a prey animal, it’s smells a bird and a dead animal of some sort.
Is your dog a breed that is meant for hunting and or hurding…?
Same! And he pulls
@Butternut yeeetsbanana.-. not necessarily
I’ve learned so much from watching your videos. After 8 years of begging I finally convinced my parents to get a dog. From everything I have learned from you, I decided that getting one in the summer is the best idea. This way I have 4 months of straight training, and the dog will be kinda used to us by then. I made the hardest decision when my parents asked if I wanted them to get a dog on Wednesday. Of course I had to say no, even tho I wanted one SOO bad.
It seems that from looking at different videos, no matter whose technique you use, the IMPORTANT thing is to have the dog always focused on you.
I hope you guys enjoy! Here’s a playlist that will show you how to teach your dog the basics in order: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMssKIjsDxXmMGypWsr8u-yGOUSoPoozb Thanks for subscribing!
Hi Zak, I have a morky that is 2 years old but continues pee anytime she gets excited. How can I get this under control because she literally pees everywhere when she’s excited. PLEASE HELP! 😕
Zak George’s Dog Training Revolution nice one my German Shepard is wild on a lead will try some of ur tips tks dude
Zak, question. We were taught by a professional dog trainer (about 10 years ago), that play tug is bad because it teaches a dog to be aggressive (we had a Golden Retriever). What are your thoughts on this? It looks like you play tug with dogs…and it looks like you know what you are doing…so I just wanted to know since we are getting a new puppy soon.
Zak George’s Dog Training Revolution I’m interested in these training videos… my Australian/German Shepard is kinda alpha and she snipped someone she didn’t break the skin but still we have already had great progress with the “leave it, look at me.” She also my esa I just never intended to have to take her in public or around others.
I love you’re video. I’m a dog walker, but most of my clients don’t take the time to train their dog. Is there anything I can do to make their walks easier? I have a couple of dogs that pull the entire time. They are young dogs, but I only get an hour a day to walk with them, and their parents don’t take the time to train them at all.
When the dog was chewing her shoelaces in the intro😂
So I have to jump around like a court jester in front of my neighbors to train my dog?
My dog does the same thing he’s 9 months German Shepherd, I feel embarrassed when we go out and he does this! 😭
Does he manage to pull you
my aussi does too 🥴
My dog used to do that aswell I trained her on a harness by giving her treats every time she walked by my side without running ahead. Try making the leash shorter so he’d be closer to you and every time he walks at your pace give him a treat and tell him good boy. It worked on mine. Also try walking him/her at night at first. Less distractions. Hope I helped.
I have the same problem with my 9 month old German Shepherd, it’s a common problem I know, but he’s already much bigger than every other German Shepherd I’ve seen and it looks very threatening D: >
My ten month old newf literally drags me when he catches a whiff.. it’s horribly embarrassing!
