  1. Thanks to you guys we were absolutely prepared for everything! I always knew I wanted a puppy but never really knew what it entails. Expecting all these hurdles you talk about in the videos made this experience so much easier and much less stressful!!! ❤️❤️❤️

  2. Every dog we have ever gotten, the first question we all answer truthfully is, does everyone in the house even want a dog to begin with. Once a family member was not on board at all and 3 years in, it was not good. I will never ever do it again. It got emotional. We are all in or not at all.

    1. There are overthinkers who never think it’s the right time, so I wouldn’t say if you have any doubt. It’s okay to have doubts but it’s important to be ready for the challenge.

    2. @vanclemmons  Agreed. I was one of the ones who set aside my worries and tried to adopt a puppy anyway lol. It was an anxiety problem on my part, and our kids weren’t quite responsible enough yet. Luckily, the breeder was very accommodating, and the puppy found a wonderful home. I’m excited for the next couple years when we’ll be ready!!

  3. I’ve been wanting a puppy for years, but I knew the timing wasn’t right as much as I wanted and tried to brush those things off. We now just got a Sheltie puppy and it feels great! We have the time and the resources to give this puppy a very great life without feeling like our lives are falling apart. It is still a lot of work, no matter what; but we are better equipped to do that now. Our little Archie is the absolute light of our days and he is oh so loved!!!

  4. The time commitment is no joke! My husband flew out to a wedding across the country, leaving me home alone with our 14 week old Aussie puppy. While he is quite well behaved for a puppy, I do find it quite exhausting that I have to tend to him every few hours or so. Luckily thanks the management techniques from McCann dogs, having a puppy is still manageable!

  5. I rescued my second baby dawg and she 14 weeks and house Trained already! She’s just one of those genius dogs. Auto sits, auto crate trained, auto fetch skill, auto open mouthed smile. She’s adorable and so smart!

  6. If you’re getting a dog or puppy because you think it’ll help ease your personal anxiety, know that it’s really a roll of the dice, too! I hear about a lot of people getting dogs with that aim, and then when our puppy came home, it was obvious she’s *wayyy more* anxious than any of us! And her nervous habits bring their own issues and additional anxieties (such as eating or chewing non-edible objects, walls, table legs, etc., which can lead to health scares, vet visits, limited toy options, or much worse!) — so if that’s a motivation for you, remember that it can also backfire and be prepared for that. (Plus a lot of dogs will pick up on your anxieties and echo them, it seems!) We didn’t get our puppy to help ease anyone’s anxiety, luckily, but if we had, it would have been tough…!

  7. My puppy doesn’t jump up when on the lead as I tug him down and he has learnt that, but the moment I take him off lead he’s jumping up again, jumping up doors and windows and people, will you please do a video that addresses that please?😊
