I’m looking forward to your more in-depth coverage of anxiety. We took in a Great Dane that was a puppy mill survivor. Her fear level was through the roof and she was considered “unadoptable” because of it. So it was us or euthanasia for her. So she got us. She was our first really, really anxious dog, so I’m sure I made many mistakes with her. We have one little girl now that is fearful (but nothing like our Dane was). I’d like to know how best to allay her fears.
Also looking forward to your longer video; we’ve a 5 year old we took in as a stray when she was about 1 year old and not sure what happened but she just seems to get so anxious after it gets dark, staring in a panic at the back door and barking like crazy when she goes out (and she wants to go out again almost as soon as she’s let in 😥 ).
We’ve never met but I started watching your videos when I rescued my first dog about 7yrs ago and you’ve completely changed the way I train and react to my dogs. They have become more loving, listen better, and are typically the envy of other dog owners. Thank you so much from me and my 3 loving fur balls.
If you have any tips / training techniques for a dog who counter surfs only when you’re not around I would be very grateful
