  1. I’ve been trying everything, my pup is forever baking. She also will only listen to me, so it’s frustrating that the rest of the family won’t do what I do. 😩

    1. @Groaning omg I have the same problem. Its horrible when your the only one putting the effort in. I do hope that they realize that not interacting with the dog has not improved and that they also help out. 😳my dad does the same thing and I cried today bc apperntly I don’t try when im basically the one raising him

    2. Here’s something I’ve never explained, the reason why my family never put in the effort is because my uncle bought him impulsively and never thought if trainig. I didn’t really think of it at the time because: “a puppy? thats cool!” As I bonded with him more I knew that it was time to train him, my cousin helped alot so that was cool. We did the basics and later on practiced intermediate games like: fetch and “go find”, but as time went on I started to realize that my other family members haven’t been pitching in. The rest of my story is on my old comment so look there. As of today I’ve stopped training, it’s because my aunt is hard to reason with, my uncle is also very impatient so I don’t bother (he has ptsd and gets mad very easily) and also I have lost confidence in myself do it, my cousin still helps now and then so thats good. His behavior isn’t terrible, but no great either, in all it’s been fine.

  2. I love that the series shows all aspects of have a dog in different stages. It’s actually a reality tv show that stays true on the reality part.

    1. Yes showing mistakes in dog training is important, but this is not what Zak George does. Showing that your new puppy has a few accidents in the house, or that a younger dog gets excited about a person/dog walking by is a great way to teach your dog what not to do, as well as inform other dog owners about what to do in that situation.
But Zak George, who is supposed to be a professional dog trainer, is showing his personal dog showing severe possessiveness, and being completely unable to deal with the situation. He continuously puts her into environments where she will fail, then because he won’t tell her no, she has no idea what she did wrong.
Inertia has tried to bite both him and his wife, shows possessiveness with several different resources, lunges at everything that moves, still pulls on the leash, and still has a hard time giving Zak any kind of attention while distractions are present. This is not someone showing their dog making mistakes, which many other good dog trainers do, it is someone showing that they are completely incapable of training a well balanced dog.

    1. @paul simons Go through your local greyhound adoption program, there is a greyhound waiting for u greyhounds make wonderful pets they only bark once a yr, they don’t jump and they are docile they come in all colours but the black ones are sitting in limbo they are not as popular as other colour’s.

    2. I forgot to say greyhounds are low energy dogs, a quick 20 minute walk everyday and your hound would be happy to sleep the rest of the day and yes they don’t pull on the lead like other large breed’s of dog, greyhounds are nothing like other breeds of dog, they are more laid back.

    1. @Squirrel Great! Mine is my first so Zak has been a big help. I created our channel to share our progress. If you’re interested, please check it out.💕

  3. I know this isn’t relevant to this video but, my 18 week old puppy comes on command, “does math” and all the other basics. Thanks Zak!

  4. I love these videos. Seeing these common “bad” dog behaviors crop up and then be addressed feels like a more realistic and achievable goal than perfect constant obedience from puppyhood.

    1. i was so tired of our lilly biting us all the time and then i used a few tips i learned from the MyDogTraining7.blogspot.com — videos. it was like night and day; worked so well

  5. Omg, thank you so much for this channel! MOST of the trainers show their super-well-super-calm dogs and I was thinking “ok, my dog’ll never be like this” and now I could see my dog is not such bad, this is a normal dog with normal problems! And even GREAT trainer could be embarassed when his dog is barking at someone!

  6. I love how this really shows the reality of training a dog and Evan though zac is a dog trainer he still has a dog that has the same everyday challenges that viewers have with their dog too

    1. Friends have you tried HowToTrainYourDog5.blogspot.com I think this website has the best dog training program I ever found on the internet Recommended to all…

  7. I love how you don’t edit out the parts where inertia doesn’t behave as expected. I just got a new puppy and this series has been of immense value to me. Congratulations on the awesome content!

  8. Showing me that your dog “acts embarrassing” too has been so encouraging to me and has helped me be more patient with my sweet dogs. Thank you for being brave and showing us the reality of raising a puppy. You’re an awesome dog trainer and a good person too.

    1. Me too! I live in an apartment so I get so anxious when she barks at someone in case I get in trouble. But I know I’m not the apartment with the loudest or yappiest dog so I’m a little better 😅

  9. Hearing Zak say “sorry” so sheepishly is sooo reassuring and relatable 🤣 that’s me at my back fence everyday. We are trying here okay

  10. Imma try this with my dogs because our neighbors can’t even walk around their own yard without my three dogs throwing a fit it’s their own yard I feel bad

    1. @Kanaya Cruz Yea I mean overall I agree, it’s just really annoying. The neighbors have dogs here too and they start barking at 6 am every day and will bark at every person or dog that passes. It’s just so irresponsible. And I don’t hate dogs at all, I love animals in general. But it’s just the most selfish thing for dog owners to do, to get a dog and not train them. I understand it’s not an easy situation, but still 🙁

    2. @Nikola Sirovica it’s really hard to train a dog to not park when they are seeing people by their homes For example Ive trained my dog to be very sociable to other people and dogs and she’s very well trained but when we are in the house or the car she barks and I’ve tried multiple different ways to try to ease her but it’s very difficult so it’s also important to be patient with people who have dogs since it takes so much time.

    3. Damn…my dog is different cause he barks at anything on sight. When my family comes up the door he barks at the door and what’s outside, his barks are so loud that he could break the sound barrier, and I want him to shut up but he stills barks, he even barks at the walls for no reason. This video didn’t help.
