  1. So cute when Biscuits is running around with her favorite toy . Actually growling is sometimes even just a noise for dogs . Some growl while playing , for example tug . Then it isn’t meant serious at some dogs , just to “spice up” the game . While Biscuits …..well she snaps like a crocodile . You might change her name to “Ginger” . ( “Does she bite ? “- “No , Ginger snaps .” )

    1. True. My Rottweiler growled when he had the football in his mouth and when you tried to get it. No teeth were shown but if you didn’t know any better you’d mistake it for aggression but he loved it and always brought the ball back for more

  2. Give us a compilation of Inertia playing with other dogs in a healthy manner. That’d be a great learning experience and enjoyable to watch for fun!

  3. This was a really great video as Zak took a back seat n let Brie take on a leading role.

Seeing Zak work with dogs makes everything look simple n easy n that’s how the audience wud imagine training to be which is not the case.

And by having Brie take the lead, ( who is not as experienced compared to Zak ), really highlights the challenges that would be faced by most of us ( Not saying Brie is at our/my level, she certainly is ahead of us/me for many obvious reasons ).

Kudos to all of you for all the videos, but specially this episode 👍🏼👍🏼

  4. Biscuits is adorable I love her and I cant wait for more keep up the awesome content zak and Bree I love the play sessions with inertia too

  5. Don’t get me wrong. I’m still a huge fan of Zak; but I just want to say that I really enjoy seeing Zak and Bree “discussing” issues on camera. I know the “discussions” are scripted; but it’s entertaining to me and they’re so cute together. Bree is great on camera. Both of you are. I really do feel like you could have your own show on Animal Planet. Better yet, since it seems every network requires a subscription these days, maybe Amazon Prime or Netflix. I’ve been thinking that maybe you could have a series in which Zak is training a person to train a dog; and it kinda looks like that’s where you’re headed with Bree. She probably already knows; but it’s a good story and good examples.

  6. This book is about how to train anyone — human or animal, young or old, oneself or others—to do anything that can and should be done. How to get the cat off the kitchen table or your grandmother to stop nagging you. How to affect behavior in your pets, your kids, your boss, your friends. How to improve your tennis stroke, your golf game, your math skills, your memory. All by using the principles of training with reinforcement.

  7. I loved all the discussion of dog behavior in this video, especially the commentary while Inertia and Biscuits were interacting. It was helpful for people who don’t have much experience with what healthy dog play looks like and how to identify body language.

  8. My boy is six months old, in all the time I’ve had him I’ve only heard him growl maybe three times. He doesn’t have aggression issues or resource guarding problems but it still was surprising just because I don’t really ever hear it.

I never get upset when he growls, I acknowledge why he is growling as it’s usually a fear or unsureness response and find ways to introduce/desensitize him to the stressor. Growling is just a form of feedback that can help us learn how to work with our dogs to make them comfortable.

  9. You two are such a great couple! Love seeing Inertia and Biscuits play. Can you talk more about helping an old dog and puppy adjust to one another? I have a 12 year old and a 21-month old. I totally ruined my puppy’s bath experience but she came in all muddy and I rushed her to the bathtub. Now she won’t even come in the house after digging bc she knows she’s going in the tub. Any way to remedy that?

  10. Been a fan since my dog Strax was a puppy himself, he’s 6 years old now. So glad to see Brie getting more involved as it helps to see how another family member can be more involved with training. Would love to see Inertia have a day to herself, like a doggy spa day.

  11. I really like how the two of you discussed growling and biting. It makes me contemplate and have a better understanding of my own dog too. It really shows how deep you are into dog training and understanding dog behavior. I appreciate it so much❤ Thank you and Happy Valentine’s Day you two, Zak and Bree❤ I really like how healthy Inertia looks too, what a good girl. She is very patient as well😊

  12. Thank you for reiterating that fear is not aggression, that it’s ok for a dog to communicate and that we can train from the inside out. Thank you for all that you do!
