I was watching this series back when you had inertia, and before I even had a dog! It’s addicting lol. Now I’m picking up my first puppy, and this series is helping tremendously. Love the channel 🙌🏼
Check out kikopup channel too… Life changing- She’s absolutely amazing. The more education the better. And she packs a ton of information into a short amount of time that’s extremely user-friendly and great for first puppy owners. She’s also extremely creative and Innovative she also does behavioral modification and she has an entire puppy compilation video as well that’s about 90 minutes long that I think you would enjoy. It’s great grabbing those moments when they do something good out of the blue.
It happened to me today. I have 2 dogs and I taught the old dog “back” many many years ago. I haven’t taught that to Marzieh yet but today I said “Back” to Jasper and Marzieh edged backwards (very slightly) so of course I grabbed the treats and we had a training session. (I rewarded Jasper for “touch” my hand to avoid confusion)
Thanks Zak and Bree for the next Biscuits episode. I thought they were done and I missed her finale. Biscuits’ confidence is really showing now and it’s interesting watching her think things through. I’m having the same fun and challenges training my 1 year old Lab mix.
We just started NomNom and our little boy who never normally likes to eat until late in the evening has been happily munching his new food first thing in the morning. Hopefully it stays that way but so far we’re very happy with it!
This was fun, thanks! My dogs are seniors now so it’s very entertaining to watch the puppy training and all the fond memories that come back to me. And I think Moose Poop would be a great name for a garage band😂
I’m so happy to hear that leave it is a command you would use if using a command. I’ve used that with my dog as she likes to roll in and snack on the neighborhood dog poop when they leave a little treat in our yard.
zak!! we took my dog into the dog park the other day after months of sniffing through the fence and building confidence and my boy did amazing! i could hear your voice in my head the whole time 😀 every time max showed got more comfortable i thought “oh zak would love that” ty for all you do!

super inspiring video, Zak! But the question I ask myself really often is when exactly should I train my pup. Should it be in the mornings before it has its meal? Should I consider not over-feeding it so that it stays interested/alert for the treats?

We recently have been going through all your old videos! We picked up a 10 week old Spoodle/Cockapoo on Saturday and you’ve helped us so much! The crate training isn’t so bad but he still cries when we try to get him to go to sleep in it, even with a blanket over him! Would be keen to see how you introduce/get a new puppy used to a harness- our puppy becomes so quiet and docile when we put one on him 🙁 love your work! keep up the super helpful videos! <3

We have two Peruvian Inca orchid puppies and they are resisting leash training. We tried to keep their harnesses on in the house so we could start the training..but it rubs them wrong under their arm pits. (they are totally hairless.) What do we do? They go backwards and buck like a horse.
Her little tail wag when she sits is EVERYTHING.
