My number one thing I teach is teaching the dog how to be held and calm for heimlich maneuver. My dog choked once and ever since I train all dogs to be used to it in case it’s ever necessary.
Unless it’s a German Shepherd 🤣 he’s actually doing good. I feel puppies are easy, it’s the teenagers that give me grief
How do you stop them from only coming when treats are involved? And when practicing with treats, how do you get them to leave again? The second my dog realizes I have treats, he just hovers nearby or sits next to me because he wants more treats.
