    1. Kinda seems to me that someone is not being like water. If ya don’t like a channel flow on down to one that resonates with you. From an early age, I’ve worked with dogs and dog trainers, I’ve done quite a bit of research and reading on all these dog, and Zak George’s methods are my favorite.

    2. I never had the patience to train my girls properly. It was the biggest reason I felt guilty when there was some issue popping up with their behavior…I never blamed them as I knew I had failed in my responsibility as caretaker.
I do truly believe in Zak’s training methods, but again…it takes more patience than I possess

    1. I had a dog once that you couldn’t say the phrase “take him for a” regardless of the context. Same dog understood when we spelled out W-A-L-K. Super smart doggo!

  1. The dog training experience playlist has really helped me with my golden retriever puppy. It’s my first puppy so hope she turns out to be obedient! Keep up the good work!

  2. When Zak says I don’t think I can let this dog go and then it cuts to him saying let go with George going for the frisbee, that moment is just… chef’s kiss! 😍 It gets me every time in the intro – love this series and absolutely love George

  3. Zak, please do some videos training adult Yorkies or similarly temperamented adult toy breed. Most of your videos are dogs 20lbs or more & the size of the toy breeds adds some challenges that we could use your help for.

    1. I love this suggestion. I’ve noticed a lot of smaller dogs “get away with” more. For me working through the totally valid anxiety smaller breeds have (because everything is so massive compared to them) and building confidence can be tricky.

    2. agree! I would love to see Zak work with a mini dachshund! It requires a lot of bending over and they have to look up and strain their neck a lot. I bet Zak could find some innovative ways to help small dog owners. Plus the typical stubbornness of dachshunds would be hilarious to see I bet

  4. Dogs are “blind” to reds and are sensitive to yellows and blues.
Try a blue or yellow rubber ball.
The baseball could be more attractive because it appears brighter than the red ball.

  5. George really really loves you guys, I understand the mindset that you can’t keep every dog but I really can feel the connection you two have through the screen. He’s a very smart and sweet boy, he has some high prey drive but it seems like he can break his attention from it.

    1. Not my business , but after George has been left by the previous owners he might have hoped to be allowed to stay at this home ….. but an experienced dog trainer knows this for sure 😉 .

  6. I’d glad this isn’t a puppy per say. I’ve followed your channel for a long while and it helped me train our first dog and mostly train our Newf.. but I admit I fell behind on his training as our first dog had medical issues around the time I should have heavily focused on the puppy. These vids help give me amazing ideas and encouragement that I can work with Duke still and his barking towards everything (not aggressive.. just a 98 pound excited dog….)

  7. Hey Zak, I’m wondering if in the next series you could explain the difference between changing a dog’s emotional response to something versus just changing their behavior in response to that thing. It’s a concept I’ve come across in dog training literature and I know its important but its also so confusing!!

    1. Imagine you have a job that is OK but a horrible boss who just shouts when you get things wrong, but they pay you so you still go to work but you dread it every morning. now imagine you get a new boss, same job, same pay, but they bring you donuts everytime you get stuff right, you still go to work (same behaviour) but you enjoy going to work (different emotional state) and you will probably work harder ( I love 🍩). My motivation is internal not just external. This is how I think of it but would be happy to hear how others think about it too.

  8. I know everyone is saying this, but it is so reassuring to see your real struggles with training. Thanks for showing us! Also, George and Inertia are so cute playing together. 🙂 What a good boy!

  9. The most useful thing I’ve learned from these videos is the concept of “working distance.” Understanding my rescue dog’s working distance on walks has changed them from frustrating to productive!

    1. That’s so awesome! I’m having the same experience with my rescue dog. Taking her on walks used to make me cry. Now I know how to find moments to feel proud.

  10. It is a YouTube highlight with a new George episode – I learn a lot and so do George, too 😂😂. Feel I am included in the ‘family’ the way Zak talk to us – like the guy next door. Thank you for making every episode interesting and educational 👋🏻🇳🇴
