Unfortunately my Aussie doodle doesn’t like a frisbee very much.
But she loves a plain old tenisball.
She was doing pretty good with fetsch.
But since she is in heat, vshe doesn’t listen so good anymore.
mine is crazy about it. she struggles with stopping to play, she wants to continue all day
The closest to fetch my Great Dane, Freya, gets at this point is treat chasing. She is not a fan of balls or frisbees. She is a great dog, just had some trauma apparently to overcome after being in a cage for 5.5 years.

I’d love to hear more about your lifestyle with the pups! A “day in our lives” video or something of that sort would be really cool.
Happy to share!
Get the doggie a coyote vest! It has big spikes things on the back!
Good idea!
@Zak George’s Dog Training Revolution Unless your dogs like to roughhouse..
Yesss I would love to see more. Alaska is beautiful!! I’m so jealous!!
It’s really scenic!🏔️🏔️🏔️
Full grown Eagles can carry up to around 4 pounds. You should be good! I was born in Wrangell
Even if the eagle can’t carry her away, my poor little shih tzu appeared small to be a food option that it was attempted. Thankfully she was mostly okay, a few holes but we kept better eyes up after that day. 🫨 love the vids. Whenever we feel challenged by our dogs (now 2 dogs 7x bigger than aforementioned shih tzu), we ask – What Would Zak Do?🐾
that eagle is larger than you think!
I would love to hear more about your lifestyle! Maybe a day in my life video or something similar
She would be the perfect size for an eagle. They take lambs bigger than her.
12lbs is eagle food forsure. Keep the puppy safe lol
Deffinitly not lol
No eagle can carry 12 pounds
@guyanderson5264 a big owl would kill and 12lb dog.
So I have an 11 week old Border Collie puppy. I try to play ball with him but he won’t bring the ball back to me he just picks it up, walks a couple steps and then drops it. Is he too little to be learning this or do you have any tips for teaching him?
In Anchorage, your small pets’ risk of eagle-abduction is inversely related to how close the nearest dumpster is. #majestictrashbandits
Animal behavior is animal behavior. Make sure Veronica is the more difficult, less reinforcing food option.
Solid advice!
I’m kind of relieved to see Veronica not catching the frisbee yet, because my 11-month old mini poodle doesn’t either. I haven’t done a lot of training because outside he is crazy about a ball with rope and ignores the frisbees. But he loves them indoors. He tugs with them, he fetches them, he catches them when I move them in front of his face, but he won’t try to catch them when flying, even if they hit him on his face. When I roll them, he jumps of them with his front feet. Yesterday I practiced while he was by the bed, I waved them above the bed and he did jump and caught the side. Several times. Maybe this is the breakthrough he needed. 🤞
I wouldn’t risk it with eagles and Veronica, love seeing her grow
My dog is only 6.5 lbs and I worry about this constantly when we are out and traveling in new areas. I’ve seen hawks grab squirrels and fly away with them. Any advice on keeping my pup safe? He’s full grown at his current size but loves playing fetch with his mini tennis balls.
Don’t be so sure that eagle won’t get your dog. Eagles can pick up goats
They can lift, if not damage, 12 pounds. BTW what a beautiful place to live with dogs!!
Thats so cool I’m moving to eielson in December. I hope it’s not too cold for my belgian
The eagle is just soaring and observing. It is not going to go near your dog. Just sharing the same space.
