Dogmantics- Dog Training Television- Episode 1

Dogmantics Episode 1
Yes, the long awaited first episode of Dogmantics is finally here! I included in this episode the two most frequent requests for videos- How to stop a puppy mouthing and biting and How to interrupt unwanted behavior. Hope you all enjoy!

Check back on this description area for more helpful tips and info regarding these particular exercises. I had to edit down tons of info, trying to include only the most important information to make this show friendly to beginner clicker trainers, not just professional dog trainers.

Please remember to subscribe rate and comment to give me some feed back. Ive really put a lot of time and energy into this show. I really hope it will make a difference for those around the world in a town or city that doesnt have any clicker training classes or information on clicker training.

Episodes to follow will have: Tutorials- how to solve problem behaviors and how to teach new behaviors and tricks, Interviews, Understanding dog body language and communication, Contests, Field Trips, Clicker Puppy Tips, and ???? YOU DECIDE!

  1. Emily, this is really good, I’m happy to finally see the first Dogmantics episode.
You are a wonderful trainer and I love the fact that your training involves no physical or verbal punishment, this is great! Keep up the wonderful work!
Spooky and Lucas are wonderful, they caught on fast.
Thanks for giving Sparky and I a positive impact on our training!

  2. thanks so much for sharing your knowledge, skills, and talent! i would love to know how you trained each of your dogs to be so polite while the other dog is being trained. I noticed on some videos that Splash could be lying right beside Kiko while Kiko is being trained (and treated!), but Splash acts completely disinterested. Thanks!

  3. Loved this, well worth the wait!! you explain things so well and the information is priceless. you are an inspiration to me and so many other people, your videos just keep getting better. thank you so much for taking the time to make and share this with us. I can’t wait for the next episode 🙂 A big thumbs up for Finn Bjerke’s music too!

  4. As a human (child) who was conditioned with negative reinforcers, it takes sooo long to recondition my sloppy habits, so I am ever grateful for what you offer, and it keeps getting better. Thank you Emily, for putting in the time and energy to make us all better trainers.

  5. So well worth the wait Emily – it gives me something to refer people to when I see them struggling with their puppy or with clicker training. As its visual and so well explained its excellent material. Thanks

  6. This was a great video, and what adorable puppy stars! I really wish I would have known this when Panda was younger, she was very nippy. Can’t wait for more episodes!

  7. Definitely worth the wait! I love your videos, Emily. They’re very helpful and informative. I especially liked how you explained why you were doing and not doing certain things- it made so much more sense than just “don’t do this, do that.”

I’m looking forward to Dogmantics episode 2! 🙂

  8. Absolutely fabulous, I have had my 6 month old female Airedale puppy ‘Delen’ for a month and have been using your videos as a way of training, i have had instant results and its been a very pleasant and fun time for both of us. Many thanks and i will definitely keep on watching

  9. Congrats on your first episode! It’s great to see you covering those everyday behaviors which can be so tough for most dog owners to deal with. Looking forward to your next installment!

  10. that’s the ultimate dog training video that i’ve been waiting for (so long ^^). it’s so well done, informative and illustrative (than those bored narratives) my LH dachshund’s learning very quickly with the positive reinforcer. keep going kikopup! i can’t wait to see your 2nd dogmantic episode!!!

  11. Awesome job! I loved seeing how you handle puppy mouthing positively. With the rescue we get a ton of puppies and adolescents with that problem and I’d love to be able to show some of the foster parents a nicer way to handle it. Thanks!

  12. Great Job – so good to see clicker training in action, instilling confidence in puppy and owners and inspiring the rest of us.
Your teaching is so clear and you communicate your ideas very well.

  13. Emily, What a great service you are providing for us. It is such a treat to watch you interacting with the dogs and showing us what positive training can do for both human and companion.

  14. This is wonderful! One by one I will convince people (with your help) that positive reinforcement is the way to go and alpha rolling isn’t a necessary form of tough love.

I used your techniques on my very very aggressive foster Chihuahua and in two months, he went from an unadoptable, untrainable crazy dog, to an attentive, and ADOPTED loving dog. I can’t thank you enough. You helped him start a new life.

  15. I just wanted to thank you for posting all of your wonderful videos! They are the best dog training videos on youtube, and your two beautiful dogs are true examples of all the wonderful things you can do with a dog who has been trained using positive methods!

  16. Thank you very much for the excellent video. I sought a lot, buying several books, accompanying Cesar Millan, enrolling in Eric Letendre’s group and others, but your explanations are the simplest and convincing. To discover your site was a pleasure and to know that you are beginning a systematic course is happiness. My sincere congratulations for the excellent work!
