  1. If you follow Dog Daddy, you may be wondering why we’re actively opposing his daily business practices. This video was crafted specifically for you, to provide a clear and honest explanation. Let’s engage in a respectful face-to-face conversation about our actions and your concerns. This is a safe space for dialogue, and we sincerely value the opinions of the dog-loving community, including Dog Daddy’s fans. You are an essential part of this community, and your voice matters to us. Please, feel free to share your thoughts and questions.

    1. Nah we are not wondering that, we know why you do it, there is no better propaganda than controversy. Prime example of a little angry Chihuahua Zak going against a GSD DD with such good mental that not only does he not bite the little devils head off but even offers him money to get better at dog training and educating himself.

    2. @Zak George’s Dog Training RevolutionI see you are getting hate from many but I am glad to see that despite this you remain strong, kind, and polite while still expressing that this is wrong. Thank you so much for addressing this issue.

  2. We take the “last chance” dogs where I work and we dont even touch their dogs unless it’s a 1:1 session. Even then, might not even touch the dog. Our classes teach owners how to help their dog make the right decisions, regulate their emotions, and figure out why their dog feels they way they do. The city uses us for their last chance dogs at the shelter, too. We do not use compulsive methods. Ever.

    1. Absolutely love this! Have you ever found the need to use physically aversive methods as part of the behavior modification plan outside of emergencies?

    2. @Zak George’s Dog Training Revolutionnever! We may use light body pressure (stand in front of our dog’s view of a trigger) to help them look at us but that’s probably the most physical/aversive thing we do. It’s paired with a “leave it” command and a reward when they look at the handler. Eventually you fade stepping in front of the dog. That’s pretty much it. My personal dog is extremely dog reactive and now we are able to walk anywhere without little to no reaction from her. Sure it took longer to train this way than yanking her around for 10 minutes, but I know she’s much happier and confident

    3. I do the same with foster and rescue Border Collies. They are scary intelligent and they shut down when not treated properly – as in R+ training. I use parts of the “Trust Technique” methods, but without the esoteric BS.

    4. I have been working with rescue pitbulls the same way, with mostly positive, but sometimes barriers of myself to distract. NEVER abusive force. I have worked with some even scheduled for euthanasia because of a bite or attack incident. It may take weeks or sometimes months of showing the dog I can be trusted and then reinforcing that with slow socialization. I have NEVER had to resort to violence and psychologically “breaking” any dog. I have been enriched and made better by learning from Zak as well.

Also, I fell in love with every rescue and kept them, rather than rehome. So none were ever rehomed. I wish I could help more, but the rehoming part is so hard.

  3. As a brand new puppy owner, this hurts my heart so bad. Thanks for what you do Zak. You have been a consistent voice in our house of how to train our pup well and with deep care and respect for him as a beautiful, intelligent creature.

  4. Not only the trainer is the problem, but also the people who make him famous. So many people still haven’t understood that violence has no place in dog training. This makes me really angry.

  5. Whether or not not you allow the dog on the couch or on your bed, that is a difference of opinion and it doesn’t really matter where you stand on the matter. Either way it won’t really hurt the dog. Treating dogs (or any other animal for that matter) like this is absolutely not okay and it is not up for debate. Keep up the great and very important work❤️

  6. Interesting that he selects the breeds of dogs that he would easily tire out. He hasn’t tried some of the Caucasian and Asian shepherds that would break him in half if he tried to do that to them, once their muzzle was removed. Absolutely horrible to see this stick of a man trying to intimidate those beautiful creatures.

  7. I almost unsubscribed after seeing this thumbnail thinking I’d somehow subscribed to his channel. Grateful people are trying to shine some light on this awful behavior. Breaks my heart watching those clips

  8. You are amazing dog trainer and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! You inspire me a lot and I want to become dog trainer like you! Just keep it up with an amazing work 😀 !!

  9. Zak I’m so glad you guys are doing this video to show the public this is not a properly way to handle a dog I enjoyed your videos as it helped me and my wife shepherd/terriermix pups and I gotta say thank you for all you do I even shared this because I want everyone to know it’s wrong!

  10. Thank you so much for all you’re doing with this terrible situation. And especially thank you for showing such compassion to Augusto’s following, as well as providing them with the honest facts and resources to learn more about these concerns. The gentle approach shows and proves your genuine desire to educate and shift the dog training community to much more positive and lifelong shifts, it highlights the genuine care you have for our fellow animals. We love you & thank you.

  11. “aversive dog training techniques” is a problem, but what DeOliveira is doing is plain physical/psychological abuse and torture. He should be sent to jail.

  12. Hey Zak! Here in San Francisco we’re a small group of dog pros (trainers & walkers) trying to get shock collars outlawed. We have growing support from ACC, major big chain pet stores as well as City Supervisors (City Council).
The ASPCA is opposed to any training equipment that causes a pet to experience physical discomfort or undue anxiety.

  13. Thank you Zak. I really appreciate you speaking up for the welfare of dogs and the safety of their guardians and the general public.

  14. Thank you for what you are doing … I used to follow this clown in the beginning but even I, with no professional dog knowledge can see that his methods are discusting. I wouldn’t let him near my dogs!

  15. Zak and Bree thank you for the tireless effort you’re putting in to make the general public aware of these practices and why they are problematic.

  16. That accusation of sending poisoners is beyond the pale. It is incredibly absurd, but it is also absolutely vicious and illegal. Does he not fear legal repercussions?
