How to Unlock Your Dog’s True Potential By Understanding This 1 Thing! #dogtraining #dogtrainer

What is your dog’s personality like?

Understanding your dog’s personality can truly make a world of difference when training them!

Quick story about our own dogs that really shows the power of their personalities:

When we first brought Veronica home, she seemed really nervous of Inertia.

She started to get confident… but then suddenly she got nervous and let out a squeal 😱

It was a reset moment for both of them.

Instead of pushing Veronica, Bree and I focused on understanding her unique personality

We allowed Veronica to do her own thing and we asked Inertia to give her space… and it turned out pretty great for them!

Veronica overcame her fear and has formed a really strong bond with Inertia.

And you know what? Her confidence also grew! Which makes our training sessions more successful!

Remember to take the time to understand your dog’s individual personality. It can really change the game when it comes to training!

  1. I have a 14 year old Yorkie and a 8 month old mini Aussie. Mi Yorkie is a really dominant girl and still loves to plan but she doesn’t like to share her bed or toys and mi Aussie is a little bit shy. So we have been struggling with her on reactivity on leash with other dogs but we are improving

  2. Bossy and demanding. I have neuropathy in my legs and feet. I cannot get on the floor and work with this dog. She is 6 months old and weighs 3.2 lbs. I never remembered how hard a puppy is. She now knows some basic obedience. Sit, down, come but only for food except sit she sits all the time when told. She walks ok on a leash but not a short one. She’s not afraid of other dogs or people she’s a Yorkie. But she wants what she wants all the time I think it might be pent up energy.

  3. My 13 year old pup is territoral, confident, and a goofball. My 20 month old pup is cautious, sweet, and a goofball as well. With my 11 month old, it’s hard to tell what her real personality is like since she has been sick since she was 8 weeks old. She gets very aggressive and takes her pain out on us humans and our other dog’s. Other times she is the sweet cuddle bug that loves face hugs(she leans her face into my cheek and starts rubbing her head against my cheek), and kisses. She also is extremely stubborn and can be airheaded(I think that one is from the pain). She is braver than my 20 month old, but not as confident as my 13 year old.
