  6. I spent 50 in super cute toys for my new puppy, thing is he prefers a ugly squeaky toy that only cost 1 dollar that he loves playing fetch with!

  13. My dog will run after the ball pick it up bring it back to me then when I go to get it out of his mouth he runs away from me like it’s my turn to run after the ball😂

    1. @kaylan god yt The fact that you refer to your dog as an “it” really shows how careless you are.

      Please rehome your dog to someone who can properly care for them and admit defeat. You’re not going to be able to train every single dog you have (if your claim of training many dogs is true). Find somebody who has the time energy and patience to train that dog. Please.

    1. Start with a ball shaped kong filled with treats. If you’re concerned about food behavior changes as a result of treats, use a small amount of their food in the ball kong as a slow feeder prior to mealtime. Start by lightly tossing that and they will go for it(although they will likely not bring it back but you’ve got half the process “to the ball” right there). This will build their interest in spheres and chasing spheres. You’ll have to remove the food inside slowly and interchange the inside treats to treats from you(which are of a higher value ie cheese or meat etc). And so they will start associating the balls reward system with a higher value reward system from you(which is doubly rewarding and even more exciting because they get better treats if they bring it back and they are making you happy). Once that’s done, over a couple weeks, you’ll be able to move forward with normal fetch training just fine.

      More importantly.. any toy will be high value as long as you put enough silly/vibrant energy into that toy. Dogs will always have preferences(which you can modify generally). But the more you are excited about the toy, the more they will be excited about the toy and so on and so forth.
